It Has performance, I study animation at university and have to use programs such as 3ds max, adobe premier and after effects. 7 has no trouble navigating through these programs, XP struggled at times, even opening the program is much slower than 7. I loved XP, was very reliable and for people who only surf the net or us office, then your not going to see any difference, the boot up time on 7 is about the same and internet speed is similar. So far 7 has worked wonders for me. My university is upgrading to 7 soon. My guess is XP won't be around for much longer, people should upgrade.
